The application of this completely new system in the treatment / improvement of water or other type of liquids is the result of several years of research and study by the researcher Marcos Pinel, physicist. For his studies and work on magnetic fields, he was awarded the Science Medal by the Spanish Society of Economics and Sciences, and in 1990 he was nominated to the Nobel Prize in Physics.

The desalination of water using a resource that is offered to us, the Sun, is today the solution to various problems caused by the increasing degradation and desertification of many places on Earth.
In order to solve the problem of desertification, and consequent lack of drinking water, FuncionalST has developed the DAS® (Solar Automatic Desalination) system.
The DAS® system has the particularity of producing fresh and drinking water, of excellent quality, for human consumption at a low cost, from marine (salty) and brackish water, or hard water.
Besides being used to produce fresh and drinking water of excellent quality, the DAS® system has been designed for different types of use such as decontamination of waste water and also with the function of extracting sea salt to obtain the same amount of salt, compared to current and traditional methods, with less environmental impact (drastic reduction in land use) and time.

MERUS® technology is a perfect solution for all problems with limestone, corrosion, biofilm, algae and bacteria. This technology, which basically consists of a ring that is installed around the tubes in question, triggers molecular oscillations disturbing the scale of lime, rust, bacteria, algae, etc. in its freshwater or saltwater lines and applications. Afterwards, the substances are washed away from the water lines and applications, mostly free of harmful accumulation and bringing them back to high performance levels.
The same counts for hydrocarbon lines and applications, where paraffin wax, biofouling and corrosion often cause drop-down efficiency due to blockage or leakage.
FuncionalST has developed technical skills, know how and sufficient technology to address the issue of industrial effluent treatment across its entire range of technologies, markets and flows, and has even created the industrial capacity to manufacture small compact effluent treatment units, equipped with NMRT® technology, to complement large treatment units using civil works or other prefabricated infrastructures.
